Meet the owner

Kaci is the owner and groomer behind The Bunny Barber Hawaii. Her love for rabbits started early, thanks to her mom. Her mom grew up as a bunny-lover herself. She had rabbits throughout her childhood and college years. Because of that, rabbits were always part of Kaci’s life. Kaci’s childhood pets were also rabbits.. and well, maybe a few fish.

One of the most memorable moments for Kaci was rescuing a rabbit from the side of the road on her street. After weeks of no one claiming her, Kaci’s family took her in and named her Abbee. Years later, Kaci got her own rabbit, Lei (7), while in college in 2018. In 2021, she rescued Mochi (5), and the two quickly became a bonded pair. Today, they’re Kaci’s pride and joy. If you ever spot her out and about, don’t be surprised if you see them cruising in their stroller, dressed up and living their best lives right alongside her.

When she’s not working with animals, Kaci has a competitive side, too. She’s been playing golf since the age of three, competed throughout high school, and even played for the University of Hawaii on a full-ride scholarship. These days, she still loves getting out on the course—especially when it means a little friendly competition (and bragging rights) against her dad and brother.

Outside of grooming, Kaci loves getting creative. Whether it’s composing music or designing custom fabric prints, she’s always working on something new. She’s currently bringing that creativity to life through her upcoming pet and lifestyle accessory line, Lei & Mochi - coming soon.
